Victory Pill's Jim Davies (ex-Pitchshifter, Prodigy) comments about the song "King and Country" from the debut, self-titled release from Victory Pill.

"This track is very different from the rest of the album, its very electronic.  Again produced by John Ross, so it has a great break-beat on it. Its very anthemic. as with most of these tunes it started as an instrumental. Lyrically it's about the first World War. I found out when I was writing this tune that both my great grandfathers were gassed on the Somme, one died from it and one lived on in bad health for the rest of his shortened life.  That's what inspired me for this tune. That generation would gladly do anything for their country.  I think that kind of patriotism is all but gone in England today.  An entire generation had no second thoughts about going to France and walking into a hail of machine gun fire for our generation, which I think very few of us ever think about...or would consider doing."

Victory Pill's debut, self-titled album is in stores now from Corporate Punishment Records.
